Welcome to Caring Connections

Caring Connections Pediatric Therapy PLLC is a therapist-owned and operated practice led by pediatric speech-language pathologist, Maria Evans. As an actively practicing clinician, Maria works directly with clients while also guiding and mentoring the team to ensure high-quality, thoughtful care across all services.

Our team is made up of passionate therapists who provide both generalist and specialty services, allowing us to support a wide range of needs under one roof.

We believe in a holistic, child-led approach that builds on each child’s individual strengths and prioritizes collaboration with caregivers. Inclusivity and neurodiversity-affirming practices are at the heart of everything we do.

  • "Miss Allison is the best!"

We love Caring Connections for our daughter, she sees “Miss Allison” in her ABA therapy location and she loves every minute of her time with her! Our daughter went from completely nonverbal to a chatterbox! We honestly worried whether or not she would ever talk because she had no words and was using sign language mostly; within a month of starting speech therapy with Caring Connections she was starting to communicate and finding her words! I’ll never forget the phone call that I got from her therapists when she said “Mama” for the first time! Everybody celebrated and cheered and I was bawling like a baby, lol. Miss Allison is the best!

  • "We feel so lucky to have found Maria."

We’re so glad we found Maria and Caring Connections! Our daughter was diagnosed with apraxia of speech as a toddler and receives speech therapy through wcpss but we knew we wanted to add additional speech therapy with a therapist who has experience with apraxia. We feel so lucky to have found Maria. She’s already advanced leaps and bounds in the last few months and we will continue to see her until our daughter develops more neurotypical speech!

By carefully evaluating these areas, we can tailor our approach to provide the most effective support for your child’s individual development.

  • At Caring Connections, our treatment approach is rooted in a neuroaffirming and client-centered philosophy. We specialize in a variety of evidence-based treatment strategies and approaches which are embedded in fun and meaningful activities.

  • At Caring Connections, we believe that collaboration is central to effective therapy and support for each child. We strongly encourage caregivers to schedule a consultation for a therapist to participate in their child's Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meeting if and when appropriate. Furthermore, we invite school administrators to connect with us for Independent Educational Evaluations (IEE). By working together, we can create a holistic strategy that not only enhances the learning experience but also empowers each child to reach their fullest potential. Together, let’s ensure that every child receives the support they deserve.

  • Maria has extensive training and experience in diagnosing and treating children with confirmed or suspected Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS). She provides consultative services for families and professionals seeking expert advice regarding their child’s motor speech production. In addition, Maria hosts week-long intensives during the summer months and during school breaks, allowing for focused support. Patient acceptance is done on a case-by-case basis.
